COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Policy Update

In light of the growing public-health concern about coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to share what we know about this illness so far, and how Gameplex plans to prioritize your health and wellness, as well as that of your family and friends.
Gameplex is not a public access event facility, so you can fully control the guests and who your they come in contact with at your event. A typical event is 20 guests or less and always takes place in your controlled environment with equipment that is thoroughly cleaned before your event.
Based on the data so far, it’s worth noting that children do not appear to be more susceptible to coronavirus than adults. In fact, no deaths have been reported among the young. Additionally, based on existing cases, it’s estimated that about 80 percent of people who are affected experience mild symptoms. With that understanding, Gameplex day to day activities will still remain as scheduled. As more information is released we will make adjustments accordingly. Here are some safety tips to educate all gamers moving forward:
We ask that all gamers:
- Wash your hands frequently, and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water prior to and after the event.
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing into your elbow. (do the vampire cough)
- Keep your hands away from your face, because germs routinely spread when a person touches something contaminated with germs, and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.
Gameplex is taking the following precautions for the safety of our attendees and staff:
- GameCoaches clean equipment prior to the start of every event.
- We are asking staff members to stay home if they are not feeling 100%
- All attendees will be required to wash their hands prior to all Gameplex activities and after as well.
- Please ensure that hand sanitizer and/or wipes will be available onsite.
If you or any of your guests begin to develop cold- or flu-like symptoms or becomes ill, please minimize the spread to others by staying home. If you think you have been exposed or may have symptoms of coronavirus, call your healthcare provider immediately. We continue to pray for the health and safety of all of our customers and hope this situation improves soon.
